 MY BIO:

My name is Eva Zoe Szilagyi (also known as  Zoe PIT) I am a self-taught outsider   underground-artist from Hungary.

I was born in 1966 in Budapest- Hungary. When i was 12, my parents took meg to the USA, -later we travelled to West-Germany where i was grown up and going to school.

Later I lived and made exhibitions in different countries of Europe.

Since 1991 i am living and working in Hungary.

I was drawing and painting from time of my childhood, my father -who is an artist too- helped me to find my self in creativity.

In 1987, when i shortly visited Hungary, i went the Desi Huber-art school where i drawed and learned anatomy and stuff. But the most of the things i know i learned by myself.

I make graphics, paintings, objects ,MAIL ART and decorations. I also decorate clothing, walls etc. and make recycling-art from trash.

At the moment i am living outside of Veszprem, a small town in Hungary near the Balaton-Lake.

My pictures are very personal , but i like to paint taboos and critical and rebellish things too.

„I am hiding from the world inside of my honey-cake ambush and the wind slews butterflies on my lashes,with skull-marks on their wings …”. (me about myself)

In the beginning of the 90-s, i decorated the walls of the legendary underground- club BLACK HOLE  together with an underground-surrealist artist friend, Jim A.Kod.(R.I.P.) in Budapest.It became very famous, they even printed a calendar with the graffities!

I painted graffiti on a wall of the alternative club „FINTOR” in Veszprem ,  together with my husband ,the expressionist Lacko Szilagyi.(R.I.P.)

I made stage decorations for the avantgarde theater-group „DOLLS” too.

Lots of my artworks  are in different art-collections in Hungary and other countries .

Szilágyi- Zoltán Éva ( Szilágyi Zoé –  régebben Zoé PIT)- vagyok , képzőművész.

Születtem 1966-ban Budapesten. 12 éves koromban szüleimmel disszidáltunk Amerikába, ahonnan később Németországba mentünk. Ott jártam iskolába is. 26 éves koromig különböző nyugateurópai országokban utazgattam,éltem,kiállitottam.

1991-92 óta újra Magyarországon,Veszprémben tartózkodom.

Autodidakta vagyok. Édesapám, aki  képzőművész  fedezte fel már kiskoromban tehetségemet és szabadelvű nevelésével sokat segitett hogy kibontakozhassak.
1987-ben 1 éves Magyarországi tartózkodásom alatt a Dési Húber rajzkör látogatója voltam,ahol  tanulmányokat készitettem. Amúgy,magamat képezem és a bennem rejlő Isteni őstehetségből táplálkozom.
Foglalkozom grafikával, festészettel, objektekkel, MAIL-ART-tal. Ruhákat & egyéb tárgyakat is kidekorálok. ” Művészeti irányzatként leginkább az OUTSIDER ART-hoz tartozom, legalábbis, igy mondják.

Jelenleg Veszprém külterületén lakom és alkotok.Témáim változóak de mindég személyesek.

-”Elbújok a világ elől mézessüti rejtekembe ,s pilláimon halálfejes lepkét ringat a szél…” -( én, önmagamról)

Jim A.Kód /R.I.P./ festőművésszel és performerrel a 90-es évek elején együtt festettük ki a legendás FEKETE LYUK alternativ szórakozóhely falait  Budapesten. Továbbá,,a Veszprémi ENYHE FINTOR klub udvarában is festettem  falra megbizásból, együtt férjemmel, az expresszionista Szilágyi Lackóval.(RIP) Én itt egy falfelületet dekoráltam ki.

Diszleteket és dekorációt is készitettem a BABÁK avantgard szintársulat számára .

Több  művem szerepel hazai gyűjteményekben és közgyűjteményben is- /Vörösváry Ákos, Raum
Attila, Kerényi Zoltán , Horvay Tibor,  Dr.J.F.Spittler, Csiz Péter,Veszprémi Kommunális RT…. stb./
