BIO IN ENGLISH
SANDOR ZOLTAN-”ZEES”-ARTIST:
Born in 1943 in Budapest-Hungary.
Visited the Desi Huber art-school from 1966-1968.
Studies: by artist Endre Balint and Maria Szilagyi.
He was known as Zoltan Balassy until 1978. Later he changed his name to Sandor Zoltan.
From 1978 ’til 1985 he lived in West-Germany, since 1994 lives and works in Gyor-Hungary.
He became well-known in the ’70′s with his surrealistic collages ,inspirated by the works Max Ernst and Endre Balint. He found his own style with the so-called „box-art”, he makes art objects from different matters, surrealistic atmosphered spaces and rooms in small boxes. They remind the viewer on panoptikums, dollhouses, little altars or stage mock-ups.
He often uses torsos , toys, pieces of mirror ,founded photos, and artistic reproductions. His box-art is near to the french new realists, the american pop-art assemblages too.
His masters in art:
Endre Balint, Maria Szilagyi.
He had lots of exhibitions in Hungary and other countries too.

ILDIKO NAGY SCULPTOR
-Ildiko Nagy ,sculptor from Gyor/HU, makes art since 1989.
As an independent artist, she sees the works of the monumental historical art as her ideals., first of all the etrusks,or the south-american indian art.
Beneath the primal style of aboriginal art she also gets inspirations from Giacommettis works.
From all of her artworks you can feel her routine with the material and modelling, in small but also in great monumental sizes.
Ildiko Nagy thinks in series. Since 2000 , in every exhibition she has a different theme she wants to show from all around. After her gladiator figures , that she exhibited in 2004, now she shows us a wax-made technic bronze-group, a little bigger size than usual, all in chromeoxid green color.
Her smaller ,figures made in angular forms are very strong, meaningful , authentic and monumentaly in their modesty.
